Lexus GS-f

Is it wishful thinking?  Maybe, maybe not.  I don’t think it’s that far off, Lexus just needs to find a way to drop the price and still make money.  I’m sure loyal Lexus fans won’t mind paying the cost to beat up on an M5 at the stop light.

“Lexus fans want it to happen so bad and now they can practically feel it. Or at least hear it.
We’re talking about a F-version of the GS sedan, one preferably with the new V10 that debuted in the LFA. It’s an idea that has been thrown around for years and now Pistonheads has run a story that suggests a GS-F is being considered very seriously within Lexus.

There are some major hurdles of course. Cost is the big one as that new V10 is not cheap. They figure it would add $50-60K to the price of the GS making it far more expensive that its European competitors. Sound DOA based on that alone, but count on the Lexus faithful to keep the rumors circulating for a another couple of years.”

“It’s been rumored that the production Lexus LF-Ch would see its debut at the Frankfurt Auto Show in March, and now Autoblog has the first spyshots that may very well prove the point:”

Here are the concept pictures.  I think we are all hoping they keep most of the front similar to what the concept showed us here.

2011 Cadillac CTC Coupe
2011 Cadillac CTC Coupe

OK, I’m not usually a Cadillac fan, but this 2011 Cadillac CTS Coupe is pretty sexy.

The pictures you see are the production versions of the concept the originally debuted at the Detroit Auto Show in 2008.
“Rear- and all-wheel-drive variants will be available, while a 556-hp CTS-V Coupe also is en route and will debut later in 2010.” – CarandDriver.com
Just saying that out loud, “556 hp CTS-V Coupe”, gets my adrenaline going.  Even the V6 will be rated at 306 hp, respectively.  All standard non V models will come with a 6-speed manual transmission with the option for the 6-speed automatic.
You can find more pictures of this Caddy here.

I like to post things that I find interesting.  I have seen pictures of this steering wheel, but I came across this video of it in action.  This steering wheel alone, makes me want that 300+hp V6 turbo BMW 135i just that much more!

This is kind of Automotive related :)

So 49 year-old Mary Strey of Granton, WI, decided to drive home after drinking a little too much and reported “I am them” to the 911 Operator.  I say, good for her, although, maybe call before you decide to drive home??  This audio has been cracking me up all day!

2011 Boxter Spyder

2011 Boxster Spyder

“Porsche released details and photos on the latest iteration of the wildly popular Boxster line. The new model, dubbed the Boxster Spyder, clearly has the high-performance enthusiast in mind. The new model weighs only 2,811 pounds – 176 pounds less than a Boxster S - thanks to the elimination of the regular convertible top. The conventional articulating power top has been replaced by a fabric tonneau-like cover that looks to be intended for unexpected showers. The six-cylinder boxer engine gets a 10 horsepower boost over the Boxster S to 320 hp, while a stiffer suspension lowers ride height by 20mm. Lower side windows and a twin-cowl rear deck lid gives a sportier, Carrera GT or 911 Speedster look. The price? A cool $61,200, about $4,500 more than a Boxster S and it’s due to hit showrooms in February, 2010.”

This has to be the best looking Boxster yet.  Of course adding some horsepower and shedding some pounds never hurts either.
